Meet our Board of Directors.

Nika King

President

After speaking on the 2021 Better Together: Mental Health Storytelling Summit produced by MTV Entertainment Group, King was compelled to establish Rose of Sharon, a 501 (c) (3) based in South Los Angeles, CA. After reversing her pre diabetes diagnosis, she became more committed to become the healthiest version of herself. It is from King’s personal experiences with her personal life and mother that Rose of Sharon was birthed.

Johnny Rutledge

Board Member

Johnny was born and raised in Belle Glade, FL. He attended Glades Central High School. After high school Johnny attended the University of Florida where he was an ALL-SEC Linebacker, Team Captain and National Champion. After college Johnny was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals 51st pick in the 1999 NFL Draft where he played a total of six seasons with Arizona Cardinals and Denver Broncos. After his playing days, he's been an educator for 15 years, authored two children’s books, mentored and coached athletes since he retired in 2005. Johnny is a servant leader that is willing to give back, inspire and assist anyway he can.

Teesha Williams

Executive Director/Secretary

A graduate from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Degree in Health Administration, an Associate in Liberal Arts and a specialized degree in Medical Transcriptionist. She works as an Advanced Medical Support Assistant at Kernersville Veterans Affairs in Greensboro, NC. Teesha is a mother of five beautiful children and 2 grandchildren, She often volunteers feeding the homeless with her local church.

Joy Stewart

Board Member

Joy C. Stewart is a mother of one, a professional stylist, and a transformative life-coach, currently serving the over 100,000 residents of the city of South fulton ga as Chief of staff to council. Having survived her own trials and tribulations growing up, she became fully convinced that her mission is to guide people, most especially women toward meaningful and fulfilling living. Growing up in challenging circumstances, she experienced physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, yet today she has emerged victoriously, to become a powerful voice that works tirelessly to empower women through transformative and thought-provoking coaching, to help them unlock their inner greatness and become the women the desire to be.
